Patriotic Section 36

June 8 1832

In view of the communications from C[ommanding] General and in accordance with your observations.

The attached report which I have the honor of elevating to the superior hands of Y[our] E[xcellency] is an act of patriotism and love for the State; I hope that Y[our] E[xcellency] is pleased to receive this small gift that I attribute to him in the name of the Pueblos. I, as the Chief that they themselves appointed, place in the order of Y[our] E[xcellency] all my consideration and respect, offering, once he arrives at the Fort of Tucson, a circumstantial part of the total fighting force present, and locations to direct myself in pursuit of the enemy.

God and Freedom. Cocospera. May 21, 1832. Joaquin V. Elias H[is] E[xcellency] Governor of the State.
