Please use the Insight Deploy Director to configure the latest version of the Insight Client. You can access the Deploy Director at
http://image.lib.brown.edu:8082/servlet/deploy/insight/launch
This will install and/or update the Insight client on your workstation. We recommend that you always launch Insight from this URL, even if you have previously installed Insight on your workstation.
Please Note: The Insight Client will not work with the Safari browser.
- Macintosh with OS9
Please follow the following instructions to install the Insight Client:
- Download the Client from HERE
- Download the Insight.dat file.
- Double Click on the Insight icon on the Desktop to install the Client. Accepting all the defaults by clicking "Next" is OK, or you can customize. You probably want to have the shortcut placed on the Desktop. Click "Done" when you have reached the end.
- Double click on the hard disk icon. Open the Luna Insight folder if it's not already open. Copy the Insight.dat file from the desktop into
the Insight folder.
- Close the window and restart your computer.
- Please notify us (Slides@brown.edu) if you experience crashes using Insight on a Mac.

The Insight Web Browser provides access to images housed on the Brown University Library Server. It does not, however, allow access to images from licensed or shared collections such as AMICA, nor does it provide the full functionality present in the Desktop Client.
