My Expertise
I am a historian specializing in the British Atlantic World, which includes North America (yes, Canada, too!), the British Isles, the Anglophone Caribbean and sub-Saharan Africa. I serve as Curator of the American historical collections in the Hay Library, which include materials on Lincoln, John Hay, whaling, Antarctic exploration and Rhode Island history.

I also cover Museum Studies (Public Humanities), Judaic Studies (From 1500 to the Present) and the History of Science, and have additional experience in these subject areas.

If you have a quick question, please send me an email or a chat message through the links provided on this page and I'll get right back to you.

I am also available for one-on-one research consultations. Just send me an email with the outline of your question and the days and times that you are available. I'll get back to you and we'll set something up.
