The RISD catalog can be accessed from Brown's Josiah by clicking "Search RISD". RISD's library catalog is shared with the Providence Athenaeum, 251 Benefit Street, Providence, RI 02903. Tel 401-421-6970 An annual student membership costs $30 with a letter of good standing from the Rockefeller Library. Membership for faculty and staff ranges from $50-$185. How?	Register at the RISD Library each academic year and summer by presenting your Brown ID at the RISD Library Circulation Desk. RISD staff will check your Brown Library record to confirm your current and good standing. Your Brown ID will be your RISD library card for that academic year or summer. What?	Most books and Picture Collection items can be checked out. Most other material may be used in the library building.	Most books at the Rockefeller, Sciences and Orwig libraries can be checked out. Most other material may be used in the library building.
Policies	Brown faculty can borrow up to 25 items for about a month. Others from Brown can check out up to 5 at a time for a month. Usually renewable once. 40 Picture Collection items can be borrowed for 3 weeks, renewable 3 times. There may be charges if material is not returned promptly. Charges accrued at the RISD Library may be transferred to your Brown Library or Bursar account. Please return books to the owning library.	RISD faculty and curators can borrow up to 25 items for about a month. Others from RISD can check out up to 5 at a time for a month. Usually renewable.
