Time Keeping for Exempt Staff:

  • All exempt employees should send an updated copy of their Vacation/Sick Time Electronic Employee Data Calendars to their supervisor by the 5th day of every month.
  • All supervisors are responsible for verifying the accuracy of the Vacation/Sick Time Electronic Employee Data Calendar for every exempt staff member they supervise.
  • Supervisors should send a copy of the Vacation/Sick Time Electronic Employee Data Calendars to LibraryHR@brown.edu by the 10th day of every month.
  • Bargaining unit members should refer to the library union contract.

Alternative Work Arrangements:
All exempt and non-exempt non-union employees who are working a schedule outside of the normal work hours (8:30-5:00 / Mon-Fri) must complete an Alternative Work Arrangement form and hand it in to their supervisor for review. This form must be updated every 6 months. The AWA policy can be found under Human Resources policy: 20.053.
