Mission:
The Library Human Resources department is dedicated to the following:

  • To recruit, hire, develop, and retain professional librarians, managers, administrative and technical support staff who are highly qualified and possess a commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Foster a climate based on the principles of inclusion, diversity, and teamwork and will promote developmental training to enhance the skills and potential of every employee for professional and individual growth.
  • Effectively administer HR programs related to job performance, career growth, employee & labor relations, compensation and a rewards /recognition program that will meet the needs of all employees and make the Brown University Library the employer of choice.
