Integrated Technology Services: Library IT Project Proposals

Project Name: Call Number Locator

Project Orginator: Sarah Bordac

Departmental Sponsor: Jean Rainwater

Project Description:
A visual finding aid for physical items in the libraries. When you find a book in Josiah, we'd like to be able to show you where in the building that book is shelved (based on call number).

Why is this project important?
It will make physical items easier to find, improve integration between physical and virtual spaces, provide users with more information that is currently available through the OPAC. It will reduce user dissatisfaction with finding items in the library and with the OPAC and improve users ability to be self-sufficient.
