Housed in either the Rockefeller or the John Hay Library, this state-of-the-art lab would enable staff to perform a full-range of repair and maintenance activities for both the general and special collections of the Library. Whether performing tasks such as simple paper mending, treating severely damaged or decayed materials, constructing clamshell boxes for artist books or other signature collections, or reformatting printed materials, the Conservation Laboratory and its staff will be an invaluable addition to maintaining and accessing the Library’s collections.
