Technology renewal
Technology has become the backbone of how libraries conduct their work. Library staff today makes efficient use of technology in many different ways to assist students and faculty with their teaching, research, and learning. Technology is used by the Library to create, manage and deliver a wealth of content, tools and resources that benefit the entire campus. Today, new technologies emerge and older technologies change at such a rapid pace that the Library must be prepared to update both their content and infrastructures to provide the best and most efficient services. This opportunity will allow the library to more proactively maintain and build the Library’s technological infrastructure and resources to meet the changing needs of faculty and students, to respond to technological change, and to grow the Library’s services as Brown grows.
