Advanced technology training for staff
The Library has successfully developed and implemented a number of sophisticated technology environments including an online course reserve system and an audio reserve system. In order for library staff to be able to continue to provide Brown students and faculty with flexible, responsive, up to date technical services, we need to provide them with technology training opportunities. This kind of training is very expensive compared to the training in which Librarians traditionally have participated. An endowment of $300,000 would establish a yearly technology training program and would help ensure that we are well prepared to meet our users ever-changing needs.
