The Center for Digital Initiatives demonstrates leadership in designing digital collections that serve both the instructional and research needs of the academic community. A fellowship endowment would provide funding for scholars, new librarians or graduate students to work with the CDI on a range of digital library issues. Fellowships would last between one and two years, and would focus on specific projects and/or research areas (such as metadata transfer and crosswalks, and the development of open-source software solutions).
