Audio and video materials are becoming an increasingly important instructional tool on campus, not only in traditionally media intensive disciplines like Modern Culture and Media, English and the study of foreign languages and cultures, but also in disciplines such as Sociology, Anthropology, History and Psychology. The viewing room on the 14th floor of the Sciences Library is currently the only campus-wide resource available to faculty who need to screen media as part of their instructional program. A gift of $400,000 would renovate this room and make it a functional media room that meets the teaching and learning needs of our students and faculty.
