Commission on Professionals in Science and Technology (CPST) Publications has a few articles with data and statistics about Native Americans and their educational attainment, with information on SAT scores, college enrollment, and degrees earned; you need to scroll down the list of publications or use your browser’s find tool and find “Native American”. EPA Tribal Windows to the Environment lets you search by region or state for a Native American tribe and its area estimate, population estimate, and fully functional GIS map, that you can manipulate yourself. Indian Health Service Publications has publications with lots of data on Indian health and tribal hospitals. National Center for Education Statistics allows you to search for publications and products by clicking on its tab in the header, allows you to access surveys and programs by clicking on its tab in the header, allows you to search for data tools by clicking on its tab in the header, and it allows you to search for tables and figures on the education of Native Americans, including drop-out rates, test scores, and trends, by clicking on the tables and figures tab in the header. National Center for Health Statistics - American Indian or Alaska Native has a list of fast stats about the health of the American Indian or Alaska Native population, with source links for every fast stat category that contain very extensive data about the specific health topic. National Indian Gaming Association Resource Search allows you to search for publications with data on Indian gambling. Native Health Research Database allows you to search through its database for a health issue, and it returns relevant information on that issue as it pertains to Native Americans. The Provider’s Guide has seven pages of information on the health of American Indians and Alaska Natives, with a focus on cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, HIV and AIDS, immunizations, and infant mortality. Risk Factors for Physical Assault and Rape Among Six Native American Tribes is a report with data about rape and types of violence among men and women of six tribes researched. US Government Accountability Office (GAO) allows you to search by keyword for reports on Native American or Indian gaming.
