Government Information |

The most important fact about government information is that there are virtually two collections:
Online and Recent InformationIf you are searching for government information published from the mid-1990s onward, you can reasonably bet that you can find a full-text version of it online. However, there are exceptions, such as the Statistical Abstract of the United States, which goes back to 1878 online. Paper and Older InformationIf you are searching for government information that is more or less before the digital age, a lot of times you can find only online indexes. The full text copies remain only in paper. On this site, when you find a resource you're interested in using, please read the "About This Resource" to find how to read the citation and actually find the paper document. When looking for government information, keep this difference in mind!
Rhode Island Voter Information CenterAt this site you can check your voter registration, who your elected officials are, and find out what will be on the ballot in November!
