Executive BranchWhereas the Legislative Branch makes laws, the Executive Branch enforces the laws. In this capacity, it produces different forms of information.
AGENCIESThe President has many Agencies to help perform his duties. There are literally dozens executive and independent agencies that deal with anything from farm animals to space travel. Agencies can publish their own information, and they can publish through the Government Printing Office (GPO).
EXECUTIVE ORDERS & PROCLAMATIONSThe President uses Executive Orders to command government agencies or officials and Proclamations to address the public.

PRESIDENTIAL MESSAGESThese are typically communication to Congress, such as vetoes or treaties.

REGULATIONSSince the amount of legislation that goes through Congress is mind-boggling, there is no way they can have exact details in each law. Laws are more the general plan of the legislation. Afterwards, when the President needs to enact the laws, regulations are made to give the exact details that are needed for proper administration.
