Dr. Reuben Augustine Wilbur:

Born in Plympton, Massachusetts, in 1840, R.A Wilbur was a graduate of Harvard medical School in 1863, and practiced medicine in Taunton, Massachusetts. he moved to Arizona in 1865, and was a physician to the Pima and Maricopa Indians in Tubac, Arizona in 1870. He is listed in the 1870 census as a thirty year-old physician in Pima County with no property of real value. He opened a private practice in Tucson the next year, and was named agent for the Apaches at San Carlos Reservation in 1873. He was married to Rafaela Salazar, part of a prominent Sonora family, and had several children with her. He died in Massachusetts in 1882.
