Manuel Duran:

Born in 1841, Duran served as a scout for the army at Fort Grant and other posts, and was listed as the chief of scouts under Major John Greet. Fluent in Apache and Spanish, he was also used as an interpreter. According to the 1870 census, Manuel Duran was a 29 year-old laborer from Arizona. He was married to Dolores, and had two children, Agustina and Francisco.
